The license plate lamp on my Rambler is M.I.A.
Could someone who knows please be so kind as to post a photo of what the correct unit should look like? I can't seem to find any info about it in the TSM or online, but would really like to source a replacement if possible and any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

They were used on several different vehicles. Probably the least expensive replacement is from one of the postal jeep vendors. I bought mine off of eBay for about 20 bucks.

Thanks. Would any of these work? I was told the first one is closest to correct and should work but have no idea.

The first picture is the one you want. The newer ones are a sealed unit meaning the bulb and lens can't be removed. The original are separate pieces but a NOS one is probably over $100. How often do you need to change that bulb anyway?

I think the little Dorman license plate lamp on the Help rack at the auto parts store might work, if you are not restoring a car to original. It's only about $7 here in CA. Joe
