Can I use a later (long nose) water pump and its pulley on a '68 390 and have the alternator and power steering belts still line up?

I did that on a 70 390. I used the three groove crank pulley from a 70 360 Javelin with AC, the three groove water pump pulley from a 77 401 Wagoneer with AC and an aluminum long nose water pump made for the later engines and the belts line up.

If none of that works out and you just end up looking for a short snout pump, the aluminum Edelbrock water pump for early engines is a good fit though pricey.

I bought a short shaft one for my driver at Galvin's a few months ago. I was asking about a future project I'm considering.
