Let's see if we can get 72AMX's link to work.

https://www.homedepot.com/b/Hardware-Fasteners-Nuts-Speed-Nuts/N-5yc1vZc2af

Yeah, that link works,

but those are not the type of clip receptacle that works very well with the system on the louver. Those are speed nuts which are used for threaded fasteners. The clip receptacle that's needed for the louvers is a 1/4 turn style. Southco makes DZUS fasteners and clip receptacles, that's the style that is needed. They have a bit of spring type action with them that keeps the pin in place.

But thanks for the help.

I would think you would need to know the size. Once you do I would try Fastenal as they supply most place.

OK,

I found this on Southco's website.

http://shop.southco.com/en-us/82-47-113-15

The style of receptacle clip and 1/4 turn pin can be seen by clicking on product specs. A downloadable .pdf comes up with several pages from their catalog.
Look at the very first page, 378 under "head styles tool actuated" to see what the 1/4 turn pin looks like.
The pin on my Soprt Shade louvers looks like these except it measures .288" (7.38mm) across the broadest part.  The tool that the Sport Shade louvers need is flat one with two tangs on it, which is not shown here. I think I can make that. or possibly I might buy a pin kit and replace the pins in the louver.
Look at  pages 383 and 388 see the receptacle looks like.
There's only 22 pages in the download, so it doesn't overload your computer.
So now I hope you understand what's going on here.

I've been waiting also, I have these Hornet louvers and it looks like I have to cut the last slat off to make them fit but I don't want to drill any holes into the body of my car. My next step is to check into some strong velcro.

Aren't there hinge points on the top of the louvers?
