Probably been asked before so I will apologize if so... will a 68-69 390 with 68-69 cross ram fit in a 68-69 AMX without making any hood mods... meaning I don't want to cut up a nice original hood or have to put a scoop on etc... any know please share!!...I know it will work on a SC/Rambler without any hood mods but if at all possible I would like to put on my AMX as 1st choice, SC/R as 2nd choice...

Yes, but it is very, very tight. I have one with a pair of 390 Holleys on my 69 AMX. I used small, flat topped air cleaner tops but could not use the bottoms, the rubber air cleaner housing seats directly on the carb. Also had to use a very small flat nut and cut off the attaching threads at the nut top. Send me a PM and I will email you pictures if you like, I have problems posting pictures (no forum problem, just me). Starts really hard, but runs really, really well on my high compression 390. Replaced a Torker w/750 DP  and feels like the crossram runs better, though the consensus seems to be that it shouldn't.

I want it more for look or WOW factor than anything else...I'm sure it will run well enough, don't need everything out of it by any means,... yes any pictures and/or part numbers for air cleaners would be greatly appreciated... my email is:  6spdamc@rochester.rr.com

Many Thanks! Dan
