Who knows where I can get the F/M side of this radio repaired? A/M and C/B work, F/M was working then just quit.

Thanks for any help.....

Nooo not yet. Got a couple quotes but for what they want just for the radio repair I could buy radio&cb brand new and still have cash left over. (just wouldn't be AMC stuff). All I basically want is a repair, not a rebuild/polish/silk screened face and whatever else they can think of to do! Lowest estiment i got was $380.00 but i don't want a complete rebuild just a REPAIR! As I wrote earlier, AM-CB are working, FM was but then just stopped. Let me know what you think....

The problem is that to take yours apart, troubleshoot, and repair just the FM portion would cost about the same as a rebuild, and could cost more. Rebuilding they replace it all, could take hours just to troubleshoot and find the one capacitor or resistor that killed your FM... might find it right away (not very likely!), but then still have to check everything else. You wouldn't want to get it back just to have another old capacitor give up (some capacitors break down with age). They aren't trying to soak you!

Sorry I haven't responded till now. 2 deaths, 1 in family, 1 a friend. Been busy. I will have to dig it up. Got it now buried in a storage unit 'cause I had to move out of 1 and into another. Will PM you when I re-find it. Do you need all the wiring to be sent with it?
