Found out today that my car that was supposed to be done last week........ won't be done until Wednesday. Nice- I have over a day's worth of work to do on it before I was going to drive it up. We'll see how things go. If I can't pick it up EARLY Wednesday (and who knows how paint will be on a car SPRAYED on Tuesday) I may have to make other plans.
By the way - my hotel fees/costs are going to be way above and beyond what was expected so anyone still looking for a place to bed down and shower for a couple of nights, I'll make a heck of a deal with ya. |

We arrived in Kenosha yesterday afternoon.
We are also traveling the Great River Road on this trip. Got as far as Dubuque, IA and cut off to Kenosha. When the show is over we will continue on to Bemidji, MN the source of the River. The Rambler has been a jewel, 1206 miles since we left. Just fuel. Saw a 65 American driving in IA and stopped and chatted. Was in IL somewhere and saw a 68 AMX south bound on the River Road. Going to the History Center about 10 am. Having AMC Fun, Ollie |

I was just reviewing the schedule. The Friday Night Car show isn't downtown this year??
The schedule states "nighttime car show in front of the History Center". Is there any helpful info on that, it seems space will be tight? |

Plenty of room at the History center if they have it.Big empty field by the parking lot and the steet parking.

They had a huge crowd last time and cars were parked well down the block on side-streets. If that is correct info, that is. Last time times and places changed, too, and the web site still reflected old bad info. Some never found out. (poor communication on changes, actually, making changes at the time something is to happen is bad anyway) I hope that info is correct and it's not subject to change........... |

I have a friend that is helping organize the cruise on Friday night. I believe it's going to be a downtown cruise pretty much all night. He said that it more or less takes over downtown and there's cars everywhere.

I spoke to the history center and they confirmed in front of the history center. They will have tents and food setup. They plan on using the entire "island" if they need. Some how they will be playing the movie "CARS". I did ask about alcohol...There is a bar restaurant "Kenosha Yacht Club" across the street from the history center. They are planning on a lot of cars and with construction downtown they moved it.
