I don't know exactly, but I have the specs here from an 80's Crane SSH-310 (Hydraulic)for a small Chevy . Duration at  .050 is 236 .

IO: 9 BTDC
IC: 47 ABDC
EO: 57 BBDC
EC: -(1) ATDC

Looks like 5 degrees advanced.

Lobe lift was .3233 which would be .517 with 1.6 rockers

Not the same, but probably in the ballpark. Maybe 238-240 duration??

The intake lobe seems to be the same as the SSH 310 that I listed.

Ken-

Thanks.  That helps a lot.  Is there any way I can get a copy of the cam card?  I pulled this out of a 12.5:1 68 390 engine with TRW flatopps and Crane Gold 1.6 rockers.  All the lifters looked great and the cam looks pretty nice also.  It's going back together in the same block.  It looks like it's peaky for power band like a circle track grind.   I just want to know what I'm building.  The engine was very noisy in the valve train, so maybe the closing ramps are really harsh.  The springs looked a little lite for it also, just looking for info.  Thanks again.

I ran that in the bracket car 25 years ago, even drove it on the street a bit. With a good converter it went 10.66 at 127 in the Hornet. The engine was essentially a 71 401 with a forged replacement piston, headers, torker, and an 850.

The cam worked quite well, and I never had any valvetrain noise problems. I consider it about the max to use as a hydraulic, definitely a pretty lumpy idle.

Thanks.  After pulling the engine down and measuring the pistons and bores, I came up with more than .008 piston to wall clearance on TRW L2313 slugs.  The pistons looked perfect and the bores are round as can be and less than .001 taper.  I just used a feeler gauge for a rough bore clearance and still had a little room on .008 but .009 would not go.  Lots of light can be seen around the pistons and they rattle in the bores really bad.  Not collapsed because some NOS ones fit the same.  guess that was the noise.
