It's done, and I may throw it on the 304
this weekend just to make a little noise...

That is a beautiful piece..very nice work, but you have to ditch the OE thermostat neck and make a billet one too....icing on the "cake".

That's a twin turbo manifold if there ever was one…

Problem is the cost would be prohibitive.
You can get a nearly identical manifold (in a functional way)
from Indy called the Mod Man.

The indy would run you about $550.

There is about $1,200 in bar stock alone in the manifold I built.

Based on an order of ten manifolds I would
have to get around $4,500 each to break evenConfused.

It could be a little cheaper, but I could never get below $3,000
no matter the volume unless I had it cast.

But very few AMC guys have their own home made "billet manifold"...

My manifold is not a copy of the Mod Man, the runners are longer
amongst many other differences. Also the runners were designed
on the flow bench and are a no holds barred design. That means the flow
bench determined the best shape all the way into the plenum entry.

For the machienists here, the design was layed out in Mastercam 10 X4
and some cutter profiles were programmed with MC.
100% of the ball profiling was hand written in MACRO C to allow for
easily manipulated sizes, curves and contours. Also Macros ise a heck
of a lot less memory.

All machining was done on either a Moriseki SH503 with a full fourth axis
or an equal Mori NH5000 both equipped with AICC to prevent gouging
in ultra high speed profiling.

By the way, I have seen a lot of creativity on this forum when it comes to manifolds.
My personal favorite  is the wonderful tube tunnel ram on the 327.
That is a masterpiece! It has inspired me to build another motor as soon as this
rig is finished. I am thinking of building an under square stroker 304 with
a stainless steel tubing Chrysler style long ram manifold with two Carters
gracing the valve covers. It will be a plumbers nightmare!
