Hello Fellow AMCer's
This year marks our Fifth annual auto show and we would be pleased to have you and your members attend. AMC holds a special place in my heart because for the past five years I have been restoring a 1972 Humpster (which is also my first car) and it is finally coming to fruition. I like to think AMC is in my blood; my Mother's first car was a Spirit. I have assisted with this show every year since its founding and have enjoyed seeing the wide range of automobiles participating. However, in every show to date there has been only two AMC's; my Javelin and a custom Pacer. This year I would love to see that change, "Up with the Rebel Machine!". The general information letter (below) contains background information on the show. Please feel free to contact me if you may be interested or have any questions. Regards, Mark Forbes markf@bell.net 905 639-9285 Burlington, Ontario Dear Sir or Madam I am the Director of the Nelson High School’s Auto Club. The school has an excellent auto technology program. Nelson is host to the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program, which prepares students for careers in the automotive trades. Our school is located in Burlington, Ontario. Each year, our Auto Club hosts an auto show to generate interest in classic cars and the automobile trades and to raise funds for a local charity. The Auto Show is an important part of the Club. The Show is planned throughout the year. Ideally, the show displays a diverse cross section of transportation evolution. In prior years, participants have enjoyed showcasing their vehicles. We have been fortunate in attracting many clubs, independent owners, various dealerships and many, many classic car enthusiasts. This year, our goals are to have a wider variety in makes, models, and years and to celebrate our 5th show in style. We wish to invite you and your club members to participate in this year’s show. Our selected charity is once again Carpenters Hospice which is a renowned palliative care facility in Burlington. This year the car show will be May 15th, 2015 between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm (with a rain date on May 22nd ). The school is located at 4181 New Street in Burlington. We would greatly appreciate your support. Although the date is still months away, we hope the advance notice will help attendees plan for our Show. I look forward to answering any questions you may have. Mark Forbes, Director markf@bell.net Home 905-639-9285 School Fax 905-637-5960 School # 905-637-3825 |

Hi Mark;
Good to read of a Canadian event that has AMC Rambler interest. May the fifteenth sounds good to me and I will mark it on my calendar. My 67 Rebel needs a good run after sitting for six months. Two of my friends may attend as well. One with a 66 American and the other with a 62 American. Hope we will meetyou then.
