These are some 15"X 7" Jeep (XJ) Cherokee wheels, and they are hub centric! The rear wheels have 1" spacers in this picture. The front wheels have no spacers and they do not contact the suspension.

They would work. We are using Ford wheels on the Grem - no problem with fit.


Indy 500s for Ford, AMC Rallye Wheel center caps - look good! Fronts are mounted on '79 Spirit disks, rears are on Mopar 8.75 axle.
Son's car: '73 Gremlin X, 401, T-10, Mopar 8.75 rear with 3.23 sure grip. My car: '70 Newport Convertible, 440 automatic

I was told crown Vic rims would fit. I can get those easy. And tires would also be easy to come by. Just need to get one and see if it clears everything.

If you're looking at Mopar wheels, those from A Bodies (darts, 64-69 Cuda, Dusters, etc) use a 4" bolt circle and will not fit. After '74 (I believe) they switched to the normal 4.5" bolt circle.

Assuming you are wanting aftermarket wheels, backspacing isn't too big an issue -- you can buy adapter/spacers. They are an added cost though. Most Jeeps and other 4x4 vehicles (including the AMC Eagle) use deep wheels similar to FWD cars also.

Measure the center hub opening.

Measure the backspacing.

Some wheels with huge backspacing--as in those from FWD cars--will match the 5-on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, but they'll put the tire in conflict with suspension components or body parts.
Buzzman72...void where prohibited, your mileage may vary, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

5 x 4 1/2" (4.5"). Most AMC's, MoPars and Fords. Some of the FORD wheels won't fit over the AMC center hub so measure before you buy any.

Wheels. What's the lug pattern and what other manufactures wheels would fit.
