There was a reported 67 4 speed car in eastern Pennsylvania.
The guy who owned it left the AMC "community" near as I could tell and I can't remenber hearing what may of become of it. I think he had a big "yardsale"...

It was rough.  The guy knew it was a car that should be saved.

Maybe he is still around?

Can't wait to see the progress on this and more photos.

Just curious, do any of your 67 converts have a flat piece of plate between the frame rails around the transmission? I was under a six cylinder 67 convert in my dad's transmission shop just after we bought our 67 290 convert in 1978. Our's doesn't have it, just a normal rear trans crossmember. Do any of yours have it? I wonder if it was some sort of running change?

Boy, I wish ours was a 4 speed!

There was a blue/black '66 for sale in Bristol, TN when I found mine.  It was a bench seat, column shift automatic.

As I understand, the cars with V8 engines did not get the plate under the transmission. The 6 cylinder exhaust passed through by the left side of the transmission above the plate with no place to run a right side pipe. Just what I was told so correct if it is wrong.
