Been using DOT 5 for years. One benefit is it does not take up water like DOT 3 does so your brake system will not rot from the inside out.

Got her pushed outside today and started sanding again. There were 6 coats of paint and 6 coats of primer on this car when I started sanding.
My cousin that was planning on helping me with the paint and body work is now not going to be able to help at all. His father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer so my cousin is doing all the farming for him. I have another cousin that is willing to do it, but he he wants to do it for me, instead of letting me do it and assisting in teaching me or preventing me from fubar-ing the whole thing. Epoxy Primer is on body, used Nason Ful-Poxy 491-16 with 483-19 catalyst. Start block sanding soon.

Started getting the 360 ready to go to the machine shop. Progress has really slowed with kids back in school and sports and scouts, etc...

Received my Patriot shorty headers H8600-1 from Summit Racing today. Thanks to The Menace for all his hard work to get these back into production. They look great, can't wait to see how they fit in the car when all is said and done.

Found out my body work has something to be desired yet. Sanded down the lower passenger quarter and started from scratch again. It was not as smooth as I had originally thought.

Not much to update except the fact I got a call from the machine shop today. He asked me to stop by to go over what he found after boiling and manga fluxing. I walked in and he said " I've got good news and bad news." I hate starting a conversation like that when my engine is the topic. The good news is the block is already bored .30 and no scarring, doesn't even need honed or cleaned anymore than he did. The heads have been gone through and guides looked good. The bad news is one of the heads is cracked along right hand lower bolt hole, he thinks it was most likely caused by being over torqued. So now the search for replacement head or set of heads begins. I did call a local guy who may have some 401 heads, but he is not sure how much he wants for them, so waiting for his decision to see if I can afford them.

The casting number for the heads I need to replace ( at least one) is 3220502-2.
