I would like to try and help on your paint question, but in 1973 or 1974 I can't find any reference to G7 Paint Color.  Factory Black cars all would be 1A or P1 depending on year.  The "Model" line in your door tag indicates 1974 and the body numer is a late year car.  Are you sure the door hasn't been changed???  P! Classic Black was a Special Order color and available on Hornet.....your door tag "appears to be changed, either by itself or attached to a door.

Your right. I moved over the seal and its either metalic brown or moroon color. So door was replaced. Need to find the biuld sheet now.

Can you get the original door????  Don't care if rusty or damaged, you NEED the tag!!!, other wise remove the wrong one.

If your line on the roof is where vinyl top trim was, then it was done in some aftermarket shop. A Hornet hatchback factory vinyl roof would have stainless trim at the bottom of the vinyl, just below the rear window and around the 'edge' of the quarter to each quarter window (and a little piece at each front pillar bottom.)
74 Hornet Hatchback X twins (since 1977)
62 American Convertible (still worth the $50 I spent in 1973!) AMCRC #513, AMO #384
70 AMX 360 4-speed (since 1981)

Those bumpers are from 1979 or later. Spirit & Concord.
Sure looks like an aftermarket vinyl roof job. Done up in the "Halo" style.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.
