Is there any reason that a 4.0 fuel injected intake can't be bolted to a 258? I know the exaust header will not work but holding a 4.0 intake to a 258 intake they look exactly the same. I don't see why this would not work but I have not tried to put it on the motor yet.

It works. The Mopar EFI kit comes with a slightly modified 4.0L intake. The modification is the height of the alignment rests. There are two dowels on the side of the head that the intake rests on for proper port alignment. You need to grind the rests down so the ports align correctly on a 258 head. Conversely the rests are to short on a 258 intake being mounted on a 4.0L head. Drill and tap a small hole above the existing dowels on a 4.0L head and insert a small screw at the proper height.
