Just looking through youtube videos and putting links up for each show
Most have some AMC stuff in them or at the very least highlight some of the great aspects of the show ie the cruising etc Fletch Part 1; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNFH8XWVbjQ Fletch part 2; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgmgwoctMH0 It says 23rd annual Chrysler show but it was the 22nd as that is when I had them display boards there he is looking at. Which was the 1st annual AMC/Rambler show Edited by 70Hornet - Mar/27/2017 at 6:20am |

There is a full 2 page article with a few photo's of the 1st annual AMC/Rambler show in the current issue of Restored cars issue225 July/August edition. Page 22/23
Also look out for next issue of the Australian Muscle Car magazine (due out late July2014) with an article on Australian Hornet's and a very nice mostly original 1 family owned AMI 73 model I have been given a sneak peak and it has an interview with Ben Ludlow from WA about THEM V8 Hornet's which will clear a lot of misinformation floating around about these cars once and for all. But be happy in knowing they DO exist
Hope everyone is well over this crappy winter. Bring on spring!!!! Edited by 70Hornet - Jul/05/2014 at 8:33pm |

Thanks for the link Lucas660. Good to see something on the TV for our cars. There is also a one page thing in this months Australian Muscle car magazine. I was thinking they would do more but I do know they want to do more on the Australian Hornet's, AMX's, AMI, the one and only OZ Gremlin etc so this should be good reading in future issues.
Hope everyone is well 70Hornet (Jason)

I didn't think about it but someone made the comment the other day that Jeff Fripp's Rambler Spares swap site was also the "1st ever AMC/Rambler swapmeet". OK there was only one site but hey we have to start somewhere Anyone can have their own AMC swap site if you have a few things to sell next year for sure. Perfect place to sell your AMC parts. And if we have the big tent again you can sell them under cover
Also there is a photo of the Gremlin waiting to go onto the dyno at the show on page 95 of the current issue of Street machine. (May2014) with a strappingly handsome young man in an AMC shirt standing next to it

There is an article on Clem Smith in the new issue of Australian Muscle car (issue73) who owns the very original brown Australian 1970 Javelin that was at the 1st annual AMC/Rambler show. For anyone who didn't get to see this car it literally would be one of the nicest original unrestored Australian 70 Javelins in existence

Quote western red "Did anybody happen to ID the Javelins, would be nice to know what their build numbers were?"
Also apparently there is some footage of the Gremlin on the dyno at the show on youtube or facebook. If someone finds it can they paste the link onto this thread thanks
I am hoping Steve Fripp is able to download his pics onto the forum as I reckon he would have some real good one's and Jodie Kuhnne with the white 75 Hornet is going to put some on soon I think too The more the merrier
