Bit of history on the #4 car from the eBay ad back in 2010:

You are viewing my listing with actual photos of current state of car. Up for auction is a Rambler AMX built by Australian Motor Industries. The vehicle is in a dismantled state but is rust free and straight. I have owned the vehicle since 1984 but it has not been on the road since 1988. I am the fourth owner, the original owner being Premier Motors in Perth WA who used the vehicle in the Perth Motor Show 1970. Vehicle was repainted Vermillion Fire with front spoiler, side dummy scoops and everything chromed. Then owned by Top Hat Caterers, then a farmer in Wagin and then by a student in City Beach (1981).

Engine is not the original 343, but a high performance 360 built by Ben Ludlow. It was supposed to be 300bhp but the current Australian Top Fuel Champion for 2010 did a 12 second pass in the car with a transmission modulator problem so only second gear was used; back in 1987. We figured it was probably developing closer to 350bhp.

Pretty sure the US car is #18

Here are a couple of Aussie cars from road tests back in the day:

Sports Car World, November 1969

This one was in Motor Manual January 1970 and Wheels February 1970

I haven't heard from Deon since we picked up the AMX's.

I do have some other news for you, A RWB 70 Rebel Machine is on it's way out from Brisbane to NZ. I couldn't tell you who owns it but my brother in law drove it at the transport company and it was about to head out to the docks.

Just having a look through my Rambler Club newsletters and one of them contains a reprint of the Restored Cars Magazine (Issue 52) article from 1983 that features the #9 car when it was owned by Andrew Page. Says it was originally operated by one of the service managers at Mascot Motors.

Also found a for sale for the #9 from On Target, back in 2004 when it was owned by Craig Norling, possibly, had the second shell with it then, so it does seem that they travelled in tandem through several owners.

I found that article last week and I was excited. Now you just came up with another previous owner. Great news as I what to track it's ownership from new. I already have spoken to Bruce Neasmith and he will contact Andrew Page for more information while I have Jeff to call Jim from Mascot Motors to see if he remembers that worker that owned it. Full history on a rare car is always a bonus.

You won't hear from Deon, he's a bit erratic.  Super Nice guy though.  I'll have to find out who picked up a Machine in NZ!  I super hope it's well sorted, believe me working on an AMC in New Zealand is tough, even when you bring a boat load of parts with you.
Hope your brother in law didn't "have fun" with the car like the Bogans in NZ would.  That's why I met my cars at the port.
One guy I know got his tank filled with diesel fuel. NICE!!
