Congrats Mark! Nice write up and Leno's Garage segment. Can't wait to see her at the show in May.

WOW the jay leno garage episode turned out great. Jay really liked the restoration and the way the car handled. I think he is an AMX enthusiast now even though he said he always admired them, seems like he liked it more than the same year mustangs with 289's.

At the semi-annual Spring Fling Mopar car show in LA, Jay typically stops by the AMC area, says hi, and checks out our cars.  I have also seen him at an annual event that gathers all kinds of cars in the LA area in late December and he's oogled my SC once or twice at that event. I think he's a closet AMCer, one that won't publically admit that he really likes AMCs (until now), but really does like them (I don't believe he owns an AMC vehicle, although he possesses a distant relative--Hudson).  I think we'll get more street cred when he finally buys one.

hey 348AMX id be more than happy to take your AMX off your hands. I think I have an offer you couldn't deny. How about my 2006 Toyota Prius and two grand no hassle for your AMX. love me some american classics and prius's, but would be more than happy to take the first. Let me know what you think.

Ron, I was talking with Rich Truesdell, car magazine photographer. We're trying to put together something with a model in the picture and sell the idea to the higher up magazines, like Octane, Rich offered as probably the #1 car magazine in the world.

Also have a Australian magazine wanting to do a feature article. May have sights on a Japanese car magazine as well. For the time being I am concentrating on getting the car ready for some car shows. The car has been accepted into the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance show this summer. It'll be at the AMO show in Cleveland, and the Las Vegas AMC show in November.

Mark, a word of advice on getting your AMX featured in lots of magazines. Don't tell any magazine that you are being featured in any other magazine. Each magazine likes to think they have the scoop on your car before any others.

My 68 AMX was featured on the cover of Cars and Parts, in Popular cars, Centerfold of Car Craft and Customs and Classics all within a few months of each other. Each mag thought they had a scoop.
