X2 on this one Dan!

I have a nice OE grill, but with the way some people drive in CA. I refuse to put it on my car. Ouch

The biggest complaint about the repopped grill is the durability as it warps. Maybe one with higher plastic durability and UV protection. Plastic average price ranges from 3-8 bucks a pound. How many pounds is a grill? Not really sure why the repopped grill is cheaped out on the plastic. It doesn't really change the amount of costs unless the mold throws out a bunch of scrap. Then they just need to find a good grinder and single screw extruder.

Does anyone know of or have any info on Roof Rail Seals for a 74 Matador Coupe...? Thought someone might be reproducing these soon...? Please let me know a.s.a.p. OR if anyone knows of  an alternative solution. Car is leaking water when it rains due to worn out seals. Thanks!

For 71-74 Humpsters:

Plastic Parts:
Grilles.  Pretty much every year. 71, 72, 73
Kick Panels
Lower Door Panels
Gauge Cluster Surrounds
Gauge Cluster Lenses

Metal Parts:
Definitely the 4-speed console plate
Ram Air Lid/Flapper
Console Auto Shifter (many have the broken "tits" that hold the plastic handle top on)

Has anyone seen these in person or purchased them? PG products pieces? Just saw them for the first time today?

The lenses don't follow the same contour as the stock housings on every set I've seen. They look good but if you know where to look it's obvious, they are nice and new though. Better than old, scratched, cracked or broken ones.

Made in china crap none of it fits and the lenses crack before you can assembled them, also no warranty if lenses crack I had to buy another one and they don't sell just one lens, the curve is way off as mentioned. I would look for NOS or good used lenses and have restorable housings rechrommed. I ended up wet sanding the lenses to fit OE housings that will be rechrommed, the screw holes were drilled and taped for machine threads with a new tap. The center backup lens is assembled with pin locators between the clear and red lenses they can be seen from ten feet away. BS company that could care less about the customer I lost $270 on them and it took my financial institution retracting the payment because they tried to drag it out for over 90 days, they refuse to take returns, they will then only take returns form USPS to Canada post that cost half as much as the parts but they ship UPS.

Tony

This picture shows the pins, notice the clear lens part is upside down, this is what you get from china!

pg housing OE lens.

pg housing in place.

pg housing and lens in front, OE housing and lens in the rear. The pg lens sits up a 1/2" just resting there when I tried to push it down to seat the lens it cracked, there were several other members here that had the same issue.

I never checked the fit, but the pictures of the center lens are spot on. I bough one several years ago and looked at it and for the price was ok with it but not real impressed. But we all know how hard nos ones or good used ones are to find. It sat in the box for awhile and I took it out to show someone and the center is falling out of the red surround. Not sure if the center is in upside down or not, I think that was only on some early ones. Also the pictures on e bay look better now like the center is held in different now. But I have not seen a current one in person. I have since bought a nos one on e bay for 200$. Recently a nos set of taillights and a nos backup lense wave been on e bay. 1100 or the taillights and 600 for the backup lens.
