Does anyone repro the seat covers for the buckets?

I just bought a 78 Levis Edition CJ7 that still has the original rear seat with original Levis material in nice shape as well as the door panels.

The Jeep is an original 304 V-8, T-176
4-speed, with Dana 300 T-case, Dana 30 front axle, AMC 20 rear axle, 3.73 gears, Warn locking hubs, P.S., P.D.B., and hardtop with doors. About 20 years ago someone painted over the original Blue metallic exterior with a BRUSH with some old Army paint. It scratches off and I may be able to power wash it off, we will see.

Really nice driving Jeep.

Also, is the cam in these original 2 barrel 304 adequate to handle a small 4 barrel to increae the power?

Anybody have an AMC small block intake they want to sell?

Congrats on the new Jeep!  They get in your blood.

I know Bestop makes a black denim replacement cover for the low back seats, not sure about blue.

Watch eBay, pick up a Edelbrock Performer and a 600 or smaller carb with vacuum secondaries.  Should be fine on a stock 304.  What exhaust is it running.  You may consider a 2 1/2" system with a free flowing muffler and cat.

Call SMS Auto Interiors in Oregon (do a Google search for the phone number) and give them the year and trim code (if there is one) for your Jeep.  They probably have the Levi's interior fabric in stock, but don't expect it to be cheap.   Good Luck,  Joe

Thanks. I had already done that but have not heard anything back from them. I may have to CALL them. many of these old businesses are not good with email responses.

I have bought two lots of AMC fabrics from them over the years.  My experience is that they are very good over the phone and have a good knowledge of their inventory.  Good luck,

Joe
