I'm trying to track down a part number, or at least some pictures and dimensions for the overdrive transmission mount on my Pacer.

I tried taking some pictures myself the other day, but it's tight between the transmission and the bracket and I couldn't get one that was any good. It's a big U-shaped bracket that goes around the OD unit and the rubber mount looks like this to me:

____                          ____
|  |__________________________|  |
|________________________________|

I believe the T150/OD was only available 75-76, but I only have a TSM, not a parts book. It could even be the same as the Gremlins with OD.

Has anyone ever replaced one?

The mount is the same in Pacer/Hornet/Gremlin with OD, 75-76. I don't have a part number though. Maybe that info will help.

Resurrecting an old post.  I need an overdrive transmission mount for a 76 Gremlin (T-150 tranny with Laycock overdrive).  Can anyone come up with a part number?   That might help.   And thanks in advance for any information you can provide.   Joe

I really do not believe the Gremlin/Hornet share the same mount with the Pacer. Reason being is that the Pacer has a tiny transmission cross member compared to the Hornet/Gremlin.  Looking at the Pacer mount, there's no way possible that it could attach to a Hornet/Gremlin crossmember.

I have a Pacer crossmember and what I believe to be a good mount. It is however, used.  I'm putting my OD in a Gremlin and it looks like I may have to improvise.

As far as the Pacer mount goes, from what I was able to observe it is not significantly different than the standard AMC manual transmission mounts excepting one thing... it has a very wide base to provide structural integrity to the overdrive crossmember which is essentially just a thick piece of bent metal.

I was able to attach another AMC mount to the transmission, and with a little work with some angle iron, a couple of bolts, and maybe a pair of spacer blocks, there is no reason that another mount couldn't be used on the Pacer in the exact same place.

There is a second pad further back on the overdrive unit as well, and the common AMC mount will also attach there.
