64 - 66 Front and Rear Classic / Ambassador Hardtop glass should all be the same for fitup. 63 did not have a hardtop - so the glass is different.

I have never seen tinted and shaded rear glass either - very odd.

OK. I came back....
Busy time....work...ugh

What I have is a 65 990H 2 door hardtop rear glass.
I've only heard of one other tinted shaded rear glass, never seen another.

I won't ship it and I'd want to get a 100% updated look at it before pricing it out.

I have a second Hardtop windshield, tinted and shaded, but you'd be getting the worse of the pair as I need one for mine.

Well The day has finally come... The Rambler let me sit on the side of the road on the way to a show this evening.  The clutch Z-Bar suffered a failure, and the clutch pedal went to the floor.  When the Z-bar flipped around, it cut a nice slit in the oil filter thus ending my day.  Grandpa once again saved the day and showed up with my car trailer to take it home.  Going to look into fixing it in the morning.

Kevin,  More on that later.

Has anyone put a scarebird setup on a 63/64 rambler?  I am very close to pulling the trigger and ordering everything to replace these terrible drum brakes I am just looking if Any one has any input on the kit or the difference it makes?

If you want to be sure it fits / works - does the Marlin have Disc on it? They are the 4 piston variety - which can leak - but if you have them sleeved in stainless, they usually hold up. 4 piston units stop well. Pads are starting to get steep though. Those will bolt right on with a full rebuild.

And yes - front drums on a 64 with an iron maiden 327 under the hood sucks for trying to get it stopped. Stopping distance is measured in # of football fields, not feet.

I have ~3 complete sets of '65 disks, However, they all need rebuilt, and they are not vented disks.  The scarebird setup uses newer vented rotors and a decent GM sourced caliper which is nice.  My concern with the scarebird stuff is if it moves the hub-face at all and if it does, it might mess-up my wheel fitment.

First I have to say I have not done the bird kit on any of my AMC's but do follow what has been posted. Till someone that has done the bird swap I will post what I believe how it is done.

I think the newest setup puts the caliper bracket on the back side of the knuckel. I am sure you knock the drum off the hub, have it turned down to fit inside the rotor like a hat. I can only see the wheel being pushed out the difference of the thinkness between drum & rotor what ever that may be.
