Can we keep this in one place since there are now two threads basically the same. This isn't a technical question or how-to, so really should come under general discussion................

Very cool! Dennis do you have a certain email that might be better than others?

Then some place on your e-mail put Attn. tech manager.

The Tech manager will insure it get's noticed and talked about by the right people. The Tech and Sales dept. need to see there is a demand before anyone will even talk about a new project.
Cool
Dennis

Also send an email to art feles-he is VP of Marketing and development-he is the guy that would be getting feedback from the sales and tech people.

Arty Feles   Afeles@edelbrock .com

I would do both!  The squeeky wheel get s the oil they say.

Yes you are right, "the squeeky wheel does get the oil", but the Sales/Tech dept. calls the shots, and Arty is not the biggest of AMC fans at Edel. I'm not saying not to send suggestions to him, I just know that e-mails to the Tech dept. will actually do some good.
For what it's worth, that's my 2 cents! (but hey what do I know) Confused
Cool

OOPS, maybe I wasn't supposed to say that here - although with his last messages, someone could have easily figured it out, I mean, how many others know where to write or who would pay attention?
Sorry, Dennis, if I tipped your hand or let the cat out.

As far as an engine mod, it would be a great option to have. If you look at their website they got over 500 HP and over 500 ft lbs of torque on a mild 350 chevy, imaging what a 360 would do, or a 401!  Full time on demand power is hard to beat.  The 2009 Corvette is going to be supercharged and make 620 horsepower.

Thanks a lot Bill Shocked now you did it! (Just kidding LOL)  A little over 12 years to answer your question.

E-mailing me won't really help much as I'm already sold on the idea, and I don't make the big decisions. When we have our new products meetings I'll be pushing for it. I'm always suggesting and pushing for new AMC V8 stuff. It tough to convince upper managment to do anyting for cars with engines that haven't been built for many years. We are lucky that the Jeep used the AMC V8 as that argument holds some weight. I can (and do) make suggestions (plant the seeds) for new products, but it's your guys letters and e-mails that bring to light there is a market out there. I like to see the right people receiving these requests and seeing there is a demand. For years I had suggested and pushed for aluminum AMC Cyl. heads, but it was all of the e-mails and letters from the AMC and Jeep comunities that made it happen.
I'm just trying to help us all.
Cool

Here is a good link to a dyno test using a very mild 350 with the magnuson roots supercharger that edelbrock is putting together for chevies.  It made 503 horsepower on 8.5 : 01 compression!! Iron heads, and a not very exciting cam and cast pistons!!.  That is an ideal supercharger for a 343-401 AMC!!!  Supercharging has improved quite a bit in the past few years, this little bad boy cranked out 114 Ft lbs more than the base line 350 it was installed on.  The edelbrock kit includes a pre-calibrated 800 CFM carb but a 750 double pumper was used by car craft.  Enjoy and send those emails to edelbrock!!

Feel free to post this on amccars.net forum tooWink

Also if you want to hear what one of these superchagers sound like watch this video @ 46 seconds you can really hear the supercharger whine-an AMX-javelin-scrambler-machine-etc etc would be WICKED with one of these kits!

I started drooling when I saw the first Magnacharger in Car Craft earlier this year. Started hoping against all hope that they'd come up with an AMC intake & drive system. That would be super sweet!
