I will be replacing the weather stripping and door seals on my 68 AMX..I see that Metro Molded Parts makes these parts..Also I see that most of the major AMC vendors offer them..Does anyone know if Metro is the only manufacturer for these items and if this is what the vendors are selling. If there are other brands available which brand is the best..

Thanks
Joe

From what I hear metro is who makes most of the rubber seals. I just bought door seals for my 70 Javelin thru ebay 1aauto IIRC and when I got the part it was Metro so I am happy. Will be a bit before I install them. Trunk seals (race car too) I bought years ago and think they are metro too.

I purchased the complete door seal & weather seal kit from APD a few years back. They installed perfectly and have held up well after a few years. Don't know who made them, but I imagine the other vendors' kit is the same brand (how many different places would make seals for a '68-'70 AMX?)

Metro makes GREAT Stuff!

If you're unsure about vendor sources, just buy direct from Metro.

I just ordered a set for my 68 AMX.  Haven't gotten it yet.

I bought everything they had for my car and the price was about $130 more then APD.  It was my impression that they make their own here in the states.  Again it is my impression that many of the parts that other companys sell are made overseas and I figured that's where it came from.

Right, wrong or in different, I went with Metro.
