Yes you can order 69 door panels in "BLACK" from legendary. I did it 10 years ago and they charged me $20.00 extra for the color change. I don't know what the extra charge would be nowadays, but just give them a call. They were very helpful/receptive to doing those 69 panels in black. While I am well aware that the correct interior color for 69 is Charcoal, I was using black 73/74 seats. So I changed all the interior color over to Black and used a 68 dash pad which is black of course but with no grab handle. Most people don't realize the grab handle was a 69 only item so nobody really figures it out...

They only show '68 base Javelin panels without the woodgrain overlay.

Thanks for the replies and the helpful explanation. And 69BBB3904spAMX I will definitely consider those panels, any idea what they'd cost to ship to Ontario, Canada? Is there anywhere that reproduces the 68 panels?

As the previous post indicates, if you were to buy the Legendary door panels for '69, in Charcoal, you might want to die them a true black, if the rest of your interior is going to be black (as was correct in '68).

74 Hornet Hatchback X twins (since 1977)
62 American Convertible (still worth the $50 I spent in 1973!) AMCRC #513, AMO #384
70 AMX 360 4-speed (since 1981)

The 69 charcoal looks black, but if you put a charcoal door panel in a black interior, you will see the difference.
The 68 panel has the arrow (or javelin tip?) shaped woodgrain insert.
The 69 panel has the rectangular shaped woodgrain insert.
The interior was changed for 70, so the door panel will be less similar than the 69 panels.
