How strong is a 75 Matador Coupe rear end with a 360 . Trying to find out this car ,how much HP ,and how much Torq. will they stand

Let see the AMC 20 is a 8 7/8” rear last I checked that is more than Mopars 8 ¾” rear!

As said replace axles with 1 piece and have fun. BTW others say all you need to do is re-torque the axle nuts.

Your choice i guess.....But if your going to put any kind of real power to the rear wheels and let them bite $300.00 is a small price to pay for your safety

Where do you find the one pcs. axles  thank's in advance .Thank's for this board its a learning curve. Worked on everything but a AMC now working on a Matador

Moser does them. You will need to pull the axles and send them to Moser. When you pull them dont try and pull the hubs first. Pull them with the brake backing plates and cut the outter bearing away and the plates will pull off. Dont worry about getting the inner race off. They have a quick turn around too.
