Guys,
These seem softer than a regular washer, the size of a lock washer but without the split and twist. Are these intentionally soft to conform to the as-cast manifold surface? What are you using as replacements? Just regular washers? Thanks Chilly

I just use narrow/thick grade 8 that I pick up at the local hardware store. I believe they were $3.50 for a bag of 25.Use these on the exhaust manifold also.
Would use narrow grade 5 but cannot find them readily here. They don't do any sealing and the torque is no were near yield so I don't think it really matters except for using them so you even load and don't gal the manifolds when torquing. Personal opinion.

Thanks. Grade 8 washer was my inclination, then noticed how soft they are. Seems like theyd have to go out of their way to source soft washers.

On some aftermarket intake manifolds imho there is little to next to no room for washers.
For a given Bolt Size, an "AN960" Flat Washer is the smallest OD, 5/8 OD Washer for 3/8 Bolt, an "SAE" Flat Washer is a little larger OD than an "AN" Washer, 13/16 OD for 3/8 Bolt, and USS Wrought Type A or B are the "standard" Hardware Store Flat Washers, 1" OD for 3/8 Bolt. "Fender Washers" are a somewhat Large if not "huge" OD for a given Bolt Size. I used the small head 12-Point type Intake manifold 3/8 mounting Bolts and AN Washers on a Torker.
Hmmm, just found this about "AN" Flat Washers, they are "AN960" Washers (works better for google search) and I found this surprising "description"... any day something is learned, is a Good Day ! "AN960 flat washers are made of plated steel with smooth, parallel faces. Choose from two thicknesses: Standard 0.063" thick, or "Light" 0.032" thick. Use them as shims to adjust nut position on AN bolts and to protect the surfaces being bolted. --> If proper torque is exceeded, they will deform to help protect the parts from damage. <-- Sold in packages of 100." Possibly could you elaborate a little more about them than just posting a image and leaving us all hanging? They look nice, but that are they? What are they made of? Where did you get them? Part number? Thanks, Tom

The washer are fender/stringer billet aluminum made by Eddie Motor Sports (EMS). Purchased them from Summit Racing part # EMS-MS281-15P and are $2.99 each The bolt hole is 3/8" and o.d is 1-1/8".
Reason for these fancy washers is to hide the slotted holes made in the AirGap intake manifold. These washer are too large for the corner holes and the intake runners will not allow them to lay flat.

They have a whole page of them, but at 1.250" diameter I couldn't think of anything to use them on other than your application. Still cool washers

Just an FYI for all....AN960 Washers have been the Aviation Standard seemingly forever.....However, the Specification was superseded in 1994 by NAS1149. They are more options for washer thicknesses for some diameters. On many popular diameters there is now a .016 thickness which makes for better "shim use". NAS1149 is currently already at Revision 7.
