I'm in the process of crossbreeding myself, but it is a Mopar small block into a 1994 BMW 318 coupe, basically the same story can't get a cheap mopar body that is not a total rust bucket and wanted to build a track car with the engine and trans I have sitting in the shed, the beemer was $400 with a bit of front end damage. Nice light body too.

Regards the mopar into AMC swap, the only advice I can give you is that the AMC runs a rear sump, you can pick up a truck sump and oil pickup for the Mopar engine that should sort out that side of the equation, have done the same for my beemer conversion.
