What is the correct color or finish for the Eaton pumps used by AMC thru the 71 Model year...I have heard several things including bare metal...You alls opinions appreciated....Thankyou    Bob in Alabama

I have also seen different colors. I did mine in cast on the pump body and brackets and satin black on the reservoir and lid.

I was happy to read about the pump body being natural...That is where I am with this one and it looks good that way...The only paint dot I found is a small white one and it is between the two bolts that hold the long flat stamped steel bracket...Thanks for sharing the link with this information.....Bob in Alabama

The paint dot on my '69 AMX was pink. I have no idea about the significance of the different colors.
