the resevior is not hard to find.  If you can't get one from an AMC vendor, then the old Ford vendors have them.  My 65 Fairlane has the same one.  Try NPD or Mustangs unlimmited.  They even have chrome ones.

Thank you for the message but I have searched the Ford Eaton Web Sites and have not be able to find the actual reservoir. I have found every other part needed to make a brand new PS pump but just not the actual can. Heck I have spent most of the day looking up Jeep 327 parts and still have no luck.I have talked to a few of the AMC shops and no one has one running around.   Will keep looking.

Well, close, but no cigar on the 500th built. Serial numbers were assigned as the cars were ordered by the dealers, not in the order they were built. The body number was assigned as they were built, but they were assigned as bodies rolled out of the plant -- sequential order no matter what model it was, so that's no good. There is a final assembly number at the bottom of the door tag though. THAT is the order it rolled off the assembly line. It should start with an E or W from late 61 on (a second assembly line was added at Kenosha in 61, 62 Classics were the first to roll of that line). Unfortunately that's not as big a help as you'd think. Mostly big cars were made on one line, mostly Americans on the other. A few big cars ran down the American line as needs dictated, I doubt any Americans ran down the bog car line. I forget which line was used for which models. The clincher is that both lines started with 1 and counted sequentially for the model year, but that's as good as it gets!

Sorry I did not see this sooner.
To install a late model Saginaw pump all you need is one from a 65-68 327 powered Jeep truck or wagon. I have one I mocked it up and it is a dirt simple swap. The mount is a simple cast iron piece that has three sliders that sit on studs in the head. I have pictures somewhere.

Found them, pretty self explanatory! Don't pay any attention to how close it is to the spring tower. The test fit was on my 65 Ambassador parts car. The Classic has the engine farther forward and won't be an issue at all.

The Bracket I have on my Car looks like this ...  http://www.ebay.com/itm/50s-60s-Rambler-power-steering-pump-bracket-and-spacers-off-55-/300689050000?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item460276c990#ht_500wt_1124 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/50s-60s-Rambler-power-steering-pump-bracket-and-spacers-off-55-/300689050000?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item460276c990#ht_500wt_1124

I guess I just need to have some steel cut to act a bracket to hold the Pump Itself and then use Bolts and sleeves that are cut to the correct length to line up the belt. I was not able to find a Jeep 327 online that I can get the Saginaw Bracket from.I will send this to my Mech back in the US and see if he can do the work.  Why has none of the AMC guys designed and built a Mod for this. Figure it would only cost about $40 in Materials for the Brackets and Most guys that are sick of the Eaton's leak could change.

One quick look at the Bracket on the pump Why is there a bent tab on the top of the black metal? is it needed?

You're right the pieces would be pretty easy to make, slight mods on sleeve length maybe, depending on how you made the plate that bolts to the head.

The reason no one makes them is there is no demand for them.
I've mentioned having this pump several times and how it fits the 327-287 to the newer pumps and not received a single peep in response.

If anyone wants them then chime in.
We have a state of the art metal supply house here in town. They were doing so well they put up a huge building a couple of years ago, plasma, waterjet, laser, design cut etc; They do it all.

I can take the plates down and have them replicated, but since I only need one set and I have them, I will need more than one person who wants them.

I'm kind of burned out on my backlog of work from breaking my neck and back 5 years ago...so, anyone else want them? I can put up an add in for sale, but again, I need to see a market to at least cover my time.

EDIT: I can sell you an Eaton reservoir or entire pump if needed or you want, no promises on them at alll, but I have it all off of two cars.

My guess on the tab is it is to help get the belt tight and can be ignored, or made; your choice.

Well this would be an interesting option, Maybe start a new Thread and see if you get anybody else that would be interested in one. I know I can't pony enough $ to do a one off for sure.  Any idea on Basic cost wag.. and the part would be shipped to Florida not Germany the car is sitting there still.
