Radiator has been out for almost 3 years it is in very good conditon-has been recored once before- but could probably use a good flush/rinse before reinstalling for breaking in the 343, not really sure if taking it to a shop is necessary, so looking for quick tips to flush it out and make sure its clean inside, thanks.   Tore down the 750 AFB and cleaned out all the passages, it was pretty clean, but one of the floats was out of adjustment and the Idle air blead tubes on the primary venturies were plugged but  that is all fixed and carb is ready to run.

If me and I had the money/time I would not skimp, have the shop flush and flow test it.

When looking in the cap hole it may look clean but 90% of the tubs could be plugged just out of sight and only a flow test will show this.

Yes that is what I was thinking too. I'll have it checked out. no point in putting in a new water pump newly cleaned block just to contaminate it with something that could be sitting in the radiator.

You never know what critters may have taken up residence  inside the rad while it was sitting. You don't want them adding to the coolant mix.  Dead After the rad is flushed, be sure to cap the holes until you're ready to install it.

True that!! I hope there arent any critters in the exaust pipes, when I cut the head pipes they were touching the garage floor, probably looked like a hotel entrence to the mice big 2 1/2" entrance down a long corridor to the "Hooker Max-flow Muffler Suite" LOL!!! If they are in there they'll be getting evicted in a very dramatic way very soonShocked
