What is the purpose of the screens? Confused      I've never seen that before.

Screen must let oil drain back to into the pan a lot quicker.

I opened up the oil return and the screens help oil to drain quicker & keep some of the large pieces from the top end out of the oil return and off the cam in case of a top end failure. After this last engine failure Cry I am trying anything that may help because this time I have a 700+ lift roller cam, 6” Chevy H Beam rods with L19 bolts & Custom 13.6:1 Compression Pistons.
