No, you'll have to find a shop that will shorten and balance it. They'll want to know the length you want.

You'll notice the slip yokes are also different.

Maybe a driveshaft out of a 72up ambo will fit. 72-74 use TFs

Wheelbases changed for 1971 -- 4" longer. Unlike the previous changes this was in the new body, not just in front of the firewall. Wheelbase changed for Matador and Ambassador. Ambassador was still longer -- it had the traditional 4" extension in front of the firewall (122" vs. Matador 118"). So a 71-74 driveshaft is even longer than an earlier one. Shaft has to be shortened!

I'm assuming, that you have an amc  727 on hand, and that you also have the adaptor for the tf to early crank that is needed? Get a yoke for a tf727, put in trans all the way, measure u-joint center to center, now deduct 1in. Take the new yoke, drive shaft, and measurements to driveline specialist.
