My local upholstery supply shop carries a bunch of universal window sweeps some of which look pretty darn close if not identical to the window sweeps on the rambler and at a fraction of the cost. Only trouble is I can't find the clips that hold them on for sale anywhere by themselves. They appear to be identical to the ford style clips of the same era. Anybody know where these are available by themselves? I'm having no luck at the usual amc parts vendors.

The belt line weatherstrips with clips, the clips are stamped in place and pierce the metal center.....be aware this is done in a punch press.  I have seen some folks use very small self tapping screws to hold them fast to the door or door panel.  One other thing, not all belt line weather strips are made the same...there is only one place that makes the bulk material, but a few vendors install the clips, however only on e vendor has the clips properly heat treated so the tang that engages the slot does not deform and the belt line will pop out of place.  It has been sometime since I bought these, but Peter Stathes sold the ones with good clips.......many others are cheaper, but they are crap clips too.

I did some math and I realized that I'd only be saving $60.00 given how much material I'd have to use and after buying enough of the NOS clips I saw on epay. Given the hassle, I think I'll just buy the good ones ready to go from peter stathes.
