DIY rear window Louvers?

I'm thinking seriously about trying one for my Javelin.  Curious if anyone has successfully built one for their car and what the challenges were. My basic spec would be blades made from 1/8" x 3" wide flat aluminum and there's plenty of pictures out there to guide me.

 

I think the easiest way,
is to ask somebody who owns a WindowLouvers,
to allow some measurments, an take some paper on a roll,
apply on the single louvers and mark the Size at the edges with a crayon.
So you get the shape correct without adapting the stuff to the rear window.

then copy the Lines of the Paper to your Aluminium and just cut out the
single louvers.

These are what I made for my car after getting the reproduction one's that I didn't like the way they were made or fit. I wanted the chrome look so made these out of stainless, easy to clean and won't rust. I made them to fit the window trim area as the repos did not. They just stick to the glass , no holes drilled. We may make some more this year but only out of Aluminum.

I suppose one can't actually feel a difference in the inside car temps with and without louvered back windows, but I bet the effects of the sun on the back deck are much less.
