On my cars the one with the round cutout is correct for the early cars, and the one with the long cutout is for the 71-74. The reason is the filler neck comes through the valance on the later cars in the center. I think they just modified the tooling on the original part to fit the later car. Hey Arnie, you interested in selling that right hand side AMX rocker molding? Ed

Ed,
The items in the picture with the rear valance panels, the 68/9 rocker covers, 70 simulated exhaust and the Trendsetter covers are mine. I sent this to Arnie to show him the different rear valence cutouts.
Everything in this picture is for sale. There is one original AMX Trendsetter and one original Javelin Trendsetter that was shortened for use on an AMX. Since you can't see both sides at once, these are good for anything but a restored concours car.
I have some other 70 AMX simulated exhaust rocker panels. Nothing concours, but driver quality. Which parts are you interested in ? Edited by 69BBB3904spAMX - Mar/28/2008 at 5:51pm |
