I looking for a pic. of the intermediate defroster duct that connects the Y-duct to the a/c box . I must of lost it but I would like to see what I'm looking for.   Thanks

Thanks that helps but the vents and box looks a little different then mine. I need that same brake down for 70 AMX.

I believe what your looking for is an oval shaped hard plastic duct which is about 1-1/2 long IIRC. I think these were light colored.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.

I am unable to figure which Parts Manual Diagram is for the 1970 AMX & Javelin...

In the diagram you posted on the left side it says "...1967/69 01". The 01 is the series -- Series 01 is American. Series 70 is Javelin, Series 30 is AMX (and reused for the Spirit).  They have a similar AC setup, just slightly different. See the hole on top of the box? The defroster Y slips into that. There should be an oval extension between the top of the box and the Y. It looks like it could be a gasket in the diagram for the American, but it's actually that slip over extension. If missing you can make a sheet metal one easily.
