I'll have to dig out some of my hardcopy info.  From what I saved from an old discussion, there was some discussion that the E60-15 has an OD of 25 1/2".  An E78-14 has an OD of 26".  A D78-14 has an OD of 25 1/2".  The case was made that the D78 would be a better choice if you wanted to save your clutch packs in the differential.

Steve, I can only repeat that a D78-14 has the same OD of 25 1/2" that an E60-15 has.  That's my guess why.  I have to go through my hardcopy stuff.

Here's an example. This is the trunk light wire where it's connected into the main harness. You can see it was looped.

I had some time to snoop today and my RWB Machine has a similar loop in the wiring.  If it would help I can post a picture, just didn't have my camera with me.

Any idea what these staples on the radiator support are for, was it a production tag of some kind? There are only these two and this is a non-A/C car.

-Steve-

Looked @ my resto pics, ours had the double stable on the passenger side also, non A/C car. Always wondered what it was about. Obviously a hard impact tp dent the radiator support as it did. Don't recall the trunk light wire loop or not, I imagine it would vary from one line workers whim to anothers.
70amcpwr You just can't fix stupid.

Looks like it was done prior to paint since the staples are blue. I'm thinking it had to do with the body construction.
