Wow, amazing pictures of intact dealership with a few things here and there out of place.  Almost haunting.  Like a cold war or plague hit the town and things just left sitting around.

That was my thought - like a remnant of some biological war of the past. I almost expected to see a half-eaten sandwich and moldy cup of coffee. It is haunting.......... but wonderful to see these.
What a great collection of photos, so well done.

This is a small town dealership in Weston, WV.  It was M & W Motors until the late 60s.  Then was purchased by Denver Moneypenny and his brother Charlie.  The name was changed to M & M Motor Service.  I bought 2 cars from them a 71 Hornet and 74 Javelin.  Denver is still living but the dealership closed in 1986 I believe.

This one is still standing in Hawthorne Nevada.

My AMX was sold new at Todd Booth Motors in Ontario California, I can't find any info about them.

The owner of the dealer in Hawthorne, Bill Hawks, hasn't lived there in years.   The person who owned the land where the sign stood had it taken down.  It sickens me to know that the sign stood there for years and nobody got it before it was torn down and probably destroyed.
