I've got more.
I'm going to scan and post them here, then I'm going to go over to the rout66 rambler forum and post 'em. (I think I'm still a member unless they booted me, too........) I'll get the proper credits out with the next posts - but thank forum member D7javelin if you like them. THANK YOU BBOJAV for the info! That's really helpful! |

Thanks Ed.
I forgot to tell billd where the ads are from. They all came from the Rochester Post-Bulletin newspaper, in Rochester, Mn. There were some from the mid-50's, the grand opening one is from Sept. 1963. Others are Sept. '66 and '67.
Just go to your local library and check the newspapers on microfilm. I've taken some the ads and had them enlarged to make garage art. Some cool stuff on there!

About half way down, the Jim Holdiman ad cracks me up. When I was younger, Jim Holdiman was the sponser for the Sunday Night Movie on KWWL, channel 7 in Waterloo, Iowa. He would do the ads himself and would stand so stiff, with his arms across his chest, and had no expression on his face. The first time I met him I couldn't believe this was the same person, he was laughing and all smiles.

I found a 1908 Rambler ad. Cowan Rambler was located in Los Angeles, CA. This is a July 1908 ad. Edited by pacerman - Dec/25/2010 at 2:07am |

I posted this one in another thread; from the Sussex Guide, Seaford, DE, 11/62 as I recall:
From the Bel Air, MD Aegis, 7/65:
From the '62 Talbot/Caroline MD phone book:
From a Seaford, DE newspaper, their special bicentennial issue in '76:
More as I find them.
