Attached photo of the Dairyland kit on my 69 AMX. Getting parts together to install the AMC HD Kelsey Hayes brakes for now until I purchase the Wilwood 6 piston kit.
Can't wait to try it out. Have a NASCAR 14:1 steering box, installed a 70+ larger diameter drag link, and already had all poly bushings.

Looking good! Any idea when the car will be ready for the road. I know you have a bunch to do?

That's sweet! How's it look on the firewall side? What's the difference in weight versus stock?

Hey Sharpstick (is his kit). Engine still in machine shop (hope to get by New Years). Got the 15" rally wheels on ebay right now so i can buy the 17" Superlights. Getting brake parts together for the HD Kelsey Hays for now. I' didn't check weight Rebel, but this kit definitely saves some weight compared to the stock trunnion/spring setup (you compare this 343 Sharpstick?). Go to the "New Product" section on this forum for 343 Sharpstick's post on this kit. Has more photos and shows firewall side.

Thanks for pointing me that direction. Very cool kit, think I'll have to get it for my '69 AMX.

I'll try to get some weights this weekend. Weight reduction wasn't the primary goal, mostly focused on updated the geometry and strength. That said, those stock upper control arms are HEAVY.
Jealous on those 17" Superlights! Your AMX is gonna be amazing. I think those 17x8 are 24 lbs per wheel. |

Just curious, in your design the weight is now pushing down on the lower control arm instead of the steering knuckle. Any deflection in the lower control arm?

Good question. The lower mount attaches to the lower control arm in the location of the stock shock, however that lower bracket also bolts to the top of the strut rod bracket which then ties the lower coilover mount directly to the strut rod and the Ball-Joint assembly.
