The only time i have seen the bottom of lifters split is when something bad has happened like a valve seizing in a guide...lifter bottoms are thin....by chance were your lifters returns?....my comp cam was a return...i was just the next victim

Something doesn't sound right
While I have seen bad lifters. Especially comps
I think there might be an underlying issue here

Something has apparently happened to cause these cracks

It's reminding me of a unfinished cam core. In fact I'm betting that your running a comp cams ground cam
And it's cam journals are too wide

I saw something like that on a Norton motorcycle that had a radical cam and they used flat tappets rather than those with a radius. It broke the timing chain though before any other damage was done. But in your case if everything was done the way it should be then it seems  obvious something had gone really wrong in the heat treating process. What does the place you got them from say about it?

Comp might have you send them back. Red usually knows his stuff good
But don't expect them to cover anything at all
