1970 V8 and I6 Javelin/AMX

I don't have the 68/69 images of the linkages, they are different as is the Z-bar.. Maybe some one else can post that.

Joe B. , that is not correct for a 70 AMX, that pushrod is for Hornet/Gremlin only, with the collar.  AMX/Javelin has no spring collar there.  The Trunion in correct for 1970 (male) and the plastic part that goes to the pedals......68/9 AMX/Javelin the mount to the Z-Bar is a D shaped hole (female).  Everything is opposite from 68/9 to 70 up and "Most" small body pieces are different then.....so much mis-information out there!!!   No wonder so many people are getting frustrated when they are looking for the wrong thing....if you don't know, please don't respond to people wanting help....I head this all this past weekend at the AMO Nationals, lots of frustrated Forum Members looking for real help not guesses.;

I picked the photo from our seller 71SC360, who is usually accurate about what he sells. He listed it as 70 AMX, that is why I gave JerseyJoe the picture to check.

Sorry

Armand,

Thanks for posting the Parts Book/TSM illustration, it is "generic", but more Hornet/Gremlin then AMX/Javelin, AMC took a lot of liberties on Illustrations in the Parts Book and TSM's, so just be careful trying to tie Illustrations to actual parts.  Heck they used pics of early Javelin all the way past 74 to show how the headlight adjustments work...I have Assenbly Line Illustrations fro 71 AMX, that show the Gen 1 287/327 engine, but point to the correct parts for 401.

OK   EXPERTS ONLY:

What is the length in inches of the 1970 rod that connects the Z bar to the clutch fork?

The length from the centerline of the trunion to the tip of the plastic cone?    ANYONE?
