The fender seemed pretty solid that was on that driver's side. Once you got it off what condition was it in? Was it loaded with bondo? Seems you would expect the fender that was against that trough to have had some issues.

As for the gusset, I am glad it will see the road again!

Fender wasnt rusted but troughs were full of rats nests. Drivers door is rough i donated one of my spares.

Motor apart pistons seem to be stuck to cylinder walls soaking pb blaster.
