Post who has been contacted to donate time, parts/materials or promotional materials/adertising here.
No use contacting someone 2 or 3 times by several different people. That appears disorganized and will tick off some potential volunteers or donors.

Hi, I have been in contact with Mark Shuford (AMARK Reproductions) and he has offered to donate a 70 AMX non air dash overlay set, it will not be ready until May if thats o.k, arm rest resto service, new door vin decal, detailing decals ( his seem to be some of the nicest repros available,1970 guage refacing decals, and any other smaller parts that he makes that we need. A huge thanks to Mark as he has been a big part of why AMX's have gotten restored to the quality they have by reproducing so many quality parts. Rick J

Keeping track of contacts here is just fine, but you really need you to say "I'm going to do this" if that's the intent. The implication is there, but you really need to make the statement
that you're planning on getting this one thing done or are just passing
on info. The reason is I need to know if this is something I need to get someone to follow up on, or if I should make contact myself. If Tom's going to use this as the tracking/working area when his group gets the car next that's up to him, but he will need to know if it's just a contact or it's something that someone has volunteered to take care of as well. I prefer to get an e-mail message stating the same as well, but a public post here is fine now that this is set up.
Matt managed to track down the person who offered the Trendsetters. I will contact him and see if they can still offer them rather than delegate that to someone else. If they can, I'll get them shipped to Tom Benvie (provided that's okay with him). Tom, I assume your address hasn't changed over the last few years? If getting the Trendsetters delivered to you would be a problem let me know! Edited by farna - Apr/05/2008 at 11:18am |

Adding to what Frank said or asked, if you later find that you simply can't follow through on a donation of parts, time or contacting someone, please let us know (well, let Frank know at least, or post here, whatever) then he can find someone to fill that spot and follow through. Thanks
This is now looking up!

Hi Everyone, Would just like to let people know I was talking with Mike Bursaw about a rear bumper for a car I am redoing and got on the subject of the side exaust which I just gave his name to a guy in N.H. I know after speaking with Tom that he was the one who offered the side exaust as a donation to the AMX. I asked him about it and he said his offer still stands of course we need to cover shipping. I have also contacted David Prine (RIMBLO BUDDY) about a rimblo wheel and he said if I donate a core he will gladly donate his restoration service, which I will do. We have sat by to long to sit and wait for things to happen. Rick J

David Prine is a really swell person, great to work with. Excellent workmanship.
It would be easy to get the exhaust to Iowa since they drive through on their way to other places, but then to get the exhaust from here to somewhere is the issue............. since we're at the crossroads of I35 and I80, it's a convenient place.......... a lot of folks pass through here way to other places. (few stay here) |

Bill, That could work but I think we just might send the money for the shipping and have them sent to Tom B. Thats were they will be installed. Rick J

Yes. My first attempt at contact failed, but now that I've got the forum "moved" and only little things to resolve, I'll go at it again.

Hi Bill, I think we should go after seat covers and door panels. We have a great upholsterer who is a memberof the club here and I am sure we can get him to install the seat covers. Thanks Rick
