So far only one person has sent in the spec sheet. This has kind of been like herding cats.

Guys,
Any of you who want to take advantage of this opportunity won't be able to do so unless you download and fill out the spec sheet because if they are wrong and not what you wanted, you own them if you did not perform CalTrac's requested due diligence to verify the eyelet to eyelet distance and springs width currently on your cars.

I've bought two sets of Cal-Tracs.

The first set went on my old '73 Gremlin. The 'U' bolt hole spacing was wrong, had to modify it. Also the shock mounts weren't even close, had to cut and weld the factory plates to the Cal-Trac plate. No problems with the spring eye.

The next set was for my '69 AMX. Again the 'U' bolt spacing needed to be modified but everything else fit.

Here's the spec sheet URL.

Please fill it out, scan and email to me at d_curtis@q.com so I can place orders...thanks.

Once I have the spec sheets in hand, I will place the order and make arrangements, get a final price and hopefully get them drop shipped directly to each of you.

The ones for the SC/Rumbler fit perfectly right out of the box. After installing them, I removed the extra leaf in both rear springs to drop the rear height back down a bit.

Only two or three people actually followed through with specific details of their request and at that rate, my discount would only be 10% which doesn't seem to be worth the effort with the higher shipping costs.

Maybe I should just order 10 sets (5 AMX/Jav and 5 American/Rogue) and just sell them when people ask for them over time . I was really hoping we could get 10 folks lined up with a firm comittment so everyone would end up with a full 20+% discount.

As stated earlier, the bottom line is between 20% and 25% discount but I won't know exact numbers until I place the orders and get the shipping quote to determine if they will drop ship or have to ship them bulk to me. I expect the total discount on the Caltracs to be around 23-25% including shipping and the springs and shocks to be around 12-15% discounts including shipping.

And yes Tom, you are the only one that sent the spec sheet and IIRC correctly I responded that without additional firm committments from others, you might as well just go ahead and order them on your own as the discount doesn't start until I get to 3 or more and then it is only 10% until I get the next clip levels of 5, 8 and 10 with 10 or more being the max discount.
