anybody know where i can get a rebuild kit for my 73 AMX power disc setup or at least a new rubber boot gasket for where the master cyl bolts up?
rebuiling 73 amx need parts

Yeah, I posted a thread here some where earlier this year or late last year about a guy in Indiana that has stuff like that for sale out of his rebuild shop.

That's correct -- most drum boosters are single diaphragm, most disks double. Most 70s cars have really light power brakes -- don't take much pressure at all from the foot! I never liked the touchy things. One way to fix this is to use a drum booster. Much better than manual disks (I've used in a 63 American -- wouldn't want in a heavier car!), not real touchy like 70s power brakes. I used a drum booster on my 63 Classic with hopped up 4.0L and I like it. It does take more "leg" to stop, but not quite as much as non-power drums. Not nearly as much as manual disks!
