I am looking to buy the best kit out there for my T 10 .Besides the vendors has anyone purchased kits that i should  stay away from and which one to buy ? I am looking for the complete kit for a 68-74 AMC T 10 ..Looking for quality parts .thanks

I don't really "know", but thought S&K Speed in New York,
one of the original Hurst S/S AMX Racers,
was or used to be a "go-to" source for all things T-10?

I purchased a kit last year from a company in ohio cant remember the name but the web is very helpful for all Manuel transmissions if you google t10 rebuild kits they will come up the kit came with every think brass. bearing and gaskets and was no troubles putting thing back together

Ed Harnett in PA (610)-623-9381 has rebuild kits for T10 transmissions as well.
He is also the person to call if you need a new gear or input shaft.

Thanks for the heads up.  I just spoke with Ed and he has all the parts i need to fix my transmission.

Since the original question seems to be answered,
what is everyone using (or planning to use) for Gear Oil?

I guess the days of grabbing the first quart of gear oil off the shelf are over now. Confused

I remember going there as a kid and playing with the 4 speed cut away and my brother teaching me how a trans worked..I did the same with my son...After they expanded and relocated i don`t see the 4 speed anymore....i will ask next time i go....
