Well the TSM is a little obscure about this because the wiring diagram only shows the automatic transmission reverse lights and neutral start switch hookup. BUT I found a Rambler column shift reverse light switch on Ebay not knowing for sure if it was for the Ainsworth column or the Douglas column. I have mentioned the two different brands of steering columns here before. My car has the more common Ainsworth column.
I put the switch in today and it works. I get continuity across the switch when in reverse and there is no continuity in any other gear. I have decent light fixtures out of another classic I parted out and bought new lenses from APD. The wiring harness (same harness for automatic tranny) is already built into the car so all I have to do is mount the light fixtures and hook everything up. Anybody want some block off plates free (for the cost of postage)? Contact me. Joe
