well got the back window chrome off my Matador but all the clips were rusted away to nothing  anybody know what style they are ?  need to clean up the chrome and the back window area  thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the Matty specifically, but Javelin and AMX clips are the same as Ford and you can get them at Napa stores. I had made a thread a couple years ago with the part numbers. I'll post a link to it if I find it.

is there a gasket under the chrome i found bits and pieces of what looked like a gasket  not attached to the window

There is a black plastic piece that slides into the molding to hide the gap between the molding and the glass. I've seen as many people not use it as I have using it.

to me - if you have it, use it, as it does help keep leaves, twigs and what not from collecting under the trim. I don't think anyone reproduces it.  If they do, I really want some - modern replacement windshield glass is thinner than what was used back in the day.  On my Concord, I replaced the win dshield, and now I have a 1/4" gap at the minumum between the trim and the glass.  Would love to be able to seal that up, even partially.

On the other hand it makes flushing out debris a lot easier and dries better so it doesn't rust.
