Couple of pics from the latest strip misadventure:

Certainly got the beat up old race car look happening. No joy on the times though, still lacking something. I've started a thread in the drag racing section to see if I can get any answers:

Remember how all tho old school drag cars had cool names on the doors. Maybe paint in the old style bubble writing on the side "Don't add water" or some other Gremlin movie quote Smile

yeah cool name. We do have a "GIZMO' yellow blown 401 gremlin on the east side of Australia but it only has number plates GIZMO and not the old school lettering on the side so yeah that would be good Tongue

Or what about

"Well Past Midnight" Smile

or what was some of the bad Gremlin names? I think one was called Spike from memory

Just some fun thoughts

Have to put some more thought into a name and maybe some display plates for it Jason.

While I'm waiting for the next run at the strip to try out some changes, I thought I'd tackle a little bit of bodywork. The car had a fair old crease in the front guard that was causing the tyre to scrape when cornering (otherwise it wouldn't need fixing):

Looks a little better after a bit of hammer work:

Some slightly more exciting upgrades are in the pipeline.

More aero front fender must have helped, plus a lot more timing, new best time:
